OVERVIEW
What it is
HDPE pressure pipe made from recycled polyethylene, grade PE63. It comes in the same sizes and classes as our certified range, Class 6 to 20, in 100 m coils, but it isn't made to a standard or certified, so its print line carries no SATAS mark. PE63 is a lower-strength grade than PE100, so the wall is thicker for the same class.
WHY SPECIFY IT
- Same sizes and classes20 to 110 mm and Class 6 to 20, like our certified range.
- 100 m coilsLong runs with few joints, light enough to lay by hand.
- Recycled materialMade from recycled polyethylene.
- Easy to tell apartNo SATAS mark on the print line, so it can't be mistaken for certified pipe on site.
APPLICATIONS
Where it's used
Farm water
Irrigation and farm water lines where certified pipe isn't required.
Livestock water
Runs from the tank to troughs.
Temporary lines
Site water and other temporary or non-critical lines.

From our factory wall chart. Not made to a standard and not certified. Pressure classes are working pressure in bar at 20 °C. Supplied in 100 m coils. Longer coils of 150, 200, 250 and 300 m can be made to order in some sizes: ask us which.
For tenders, public works and drinking-water supply, use our SATAS-certified PE100 HDPE range to SANS 4427-2.

HANDLING AND INSTALLATION
Good practice on site
General guidance for storing and laying Non-certified HDPE pipe. Always follow the project specification and the relevant installation standard.
- Store coils flat, or on edge with support, on level ground clear of stones and sharp objects.
- Keep the coil strapping on until the pipe is laid out, and uncoil with care: coils can spring open.
- Don't drag pipe over rough ground or sharp edges. Lift it.
- Limit storage in direct sunlight; cover long-term stock.
- Use the jointing method the project specification calls for; welded joints should be made by trained installers.
Is the non-certified HDPE certified?
No. It is made from recycled PE63, isn't made to a standard or certified, and its print line has no SATAS mark.
When should I use certified HDPE instead?
For tenders, public works, drinking-water supply, or any job whose specification calls for SANS 4427-2, use our SATAS-certified PE100 range. Say which range you need when you order.
Which class do I need?
Pick a class above the highest working pressure in your line, including pump pressure and surge. Class is the working pressure in bar at 20 °C: Class 6 is rated to 6 bar, about 60 m of head. Tell us the pump and the run and we'll recommend one.
Do you deliver?
Yes. For standard sizes and classes, delivery takes 1–2 days in Gaborone, 3–5 days to towns such as Lobatse, Kanye, Jwaneng and Molepolole, and 7–10 days to the north and west, including Francistown, Maun, Selebi-Phikwe, Ghanzi and Tsabong, from your purchase order. Delivery is free on orders above our minimum order value. You can also collect from our factory, and we export to South Africa.
