OVERVIEW

What the job needs

A building uses several kinds of pipe: soil, waste and vent (SWV) pipe for the drainage inside, sewer pipe for the drains outside, conduit for the electrical wiring, and a water connection from the mains.

We make them all in Gaborone, so a contractor can source the plastic pipe for a building from one supplier.

WHAT MATTERS WHEN CHOOSING

  • Waste and ventSWV pipe (40 and 50 mm, white, 6 m lengths) carries waste from basins, showers, sinks and appliances, and vents the drainage system.
  • Drains to the sewerUnderground drains from the building to the sewer use SANS 791 sewer pipe from 110 mm.
  • Electrical conduitRigid 20 and 25 mm PVC conduit carries the SABS mark under permit to SANS 61386-21:2021, supplied in 4 m lengths.
  • The water connectionHDPE pressure pipe in coils for the supply from the mains to the building.

Is your conduit SABS approved?

Our 20 and 25 mm PVC conduit carries the SABS mark under permit 11899/18586, to SANS 61386-21:2021.

How long are SWV and conduit lengths?

SWV pipe comes in 6 m lengths and conduit in 4 m lengths.

Is SWV pipe certified?

SWV pipe is not covered by a product certificate. It is made in our Gaborone factory under our SABS ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
